Harvest is a wonderful time of year when the fields are cut and food is stored. It is also a time when local people come together to generously support those in need. We would love you to consider supporting Peterborough Foodbank this Harvest time.
It is during Harvest time where we need to top up our supplies ready for winter. We expect demand to rise for our food banks as winter approaches so help us stock our shelves now so we can help as many people as possible over the coming months.

As the Cost of Living crisis continues, we have more and more people coming to our food bank centres, but we are facing a drop in donations. Just look at these statistics:
-
We have fed 35% more people since 2022.
-
Our food donations have decreased by 21% since 2022. 26% in food donations in the last 12 months.
-
Our stock shelves are regularly bare.
-
We are budgeting to buy in £6,000 of food each month
The rising cost of essentials, like food, electricity and rent, is pushing more families to the brink.
Trussell estimates that tens of thousands of families will need to turn to a food bank, like ours, for the first time this year.
How to support us this Harvest

Would your church, school or community group be able to help us this Harvest by running a food collection?
It is really straightforward and simple. You can run you collection at any point during August, September or October. If you are unable to bring your collection to us we can arrange to come and pick it up from you.
We’ve put together a range of resources to help you run a collection.
You can also donate online
Don’t forget, you can also buy items on online using Give Today. On Give Today you can browse and purchase the items that we need this month. The team at Give Today then make sure your donation is delivered directly to our door.
Whichever way you join with us this Harvest, you will help us make a difference to the lives of many in our community.
More than just a food parcel
At Peterborough Foodbank, we provide a warm and welcoming environment, where people feel valued and loved. At some of our centres we offer people a cup of tea and a chat too. Take a look at this Trussell video which explains how this can make visitors feel at ease.
Your help with donations this Harvest, will allow us to offer more cups of tea (and maybe a slice of cake) at more of our centres.
