Christmas is coming…

14th November 2019

Just to let everyone know that the Christmas collection that takes place in Tesco is taking place on Thur 21st to Sat 23rd November. So please do head to Tesco Werrington or Tesco Serpentine Green, Hampton and donate an item or two. All food donated at Tesco receives a top up in money based on the weight of food – this is a great source of income for us to then purchase more food items.

This year Sainsbury’s are running their make a million Christmases special campaign and have collection boxes in Bretton and Oxney Road stores to collect food for the foodbank, and toys for another local charity.

The Co-op are also running a Christmas campaign to support the work for local foodbanks, and so is another great place to donate if you shop there.

Also to say if you are collecting for us for Christmas, we would love to receive these items mid December so we have opportunity to get all the lovely extra Christmas festive food items out to our clients in time for Christmas. We are chocolate advent calendars (ideally to be received before 1st Dec) and we are accepting reverse advent calendar boxes.

We currently need food across our food items such as tinned meat, tinned potatoes, tinned fruit, long like milk/juice, instant mash, tinned soup, coffee and sugar, pot noodles and instant mug shots, sweet and savour treats, toiletries and toilet rolls.

Our last day at the warehouse to receive incoming donations is Tue 24th Dec and we close at 1pm. But please try to donate beforehand if possible. We are then closed until Fri 3rd January.

Our foodbank centres will be closed on Christmas Day, Mon 30th Dec and New Year’s day only.

Thank you and Merry Christmas to all our supporters.
